Welcome back everyone!
I hope you had a good rest and are ready to continue to work hard in our final term.
In Year 4 we will be continuing to study the Romans and their impact on Britain. We will be designing and creating Roman shields and looking at how Romans lived and what they ate.
Every week the children will continue to receive an English or Maths based homework on what we have covered in class during that week, they will also have 10 spellings to learn, practise our handwriting to try and achieve a pen license and we will recap on our class times table each week.
Please continue to read with your child at least three times a week as this has a positive impact in school. Remember reading should be pleasurable so feel free to read a selection of texts as well as home school reading books. Children will be rewarded for their efforts in school by receiving 10 raffle tickets if a parent has signed their reading record to show that you have read at least three times a week.
PE is still on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon with homework being sent out on Friday, being returned no later than Thursday the following week.
If you have any questions or queries, my door is always open.
