At St Mary’s, our Catholic faith is part of everyday school life. It shapes what we teach, how we celebrate and how we care for one another. Prayer and liturgy give our community time to reflect, come together and grow in faith.

We work closely with parents and carers to nurture each child’s gifts, helping every pupil feel valued and flourish in a community built on kindness and respect.

 

P r a y e r   a n d   W o r s h i p

Prayer and worship are at the heart of life at St Mary’s. Each day, children have opportunities to pause, reflect and grow in their relationship with God.

Our times of prayer are welcoming and meaningful. Children take an active part in planning and leading worship, sharing their ideas and responding to Scripture. They explore different ways to pray, including song, silence, traditional prayers and prayers in their own words, both together and individually.

Every classroom has a prayer space that changes with the liturgical seasons and provides a focus for reflection. Each class also has a Religious Education display linked to current learning, with stories and questions that encourage children to think more deeply about their faith.
