At St Mary’s, our Care for Creation Team is a group of children who are passionate about looking after God’s earth and all living things. Inspired by Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’, they help our school community care for our world—our common home.

Our team encourages everyone to make small changes that can make a big difference. From reducing waste and recycling to saving water, switching off lights and caring for plants and wildlife, they help us put our faith into action. Through their ideas, projects and example, the children remind us that caring for creation is a responsibility we all share. They also help us understand how our choices affect other people, especially those most vulnerable to environmental harm.

Together, we aim to nurture a love of nature, gratitude for God’s gifts and a commitment to protecting our beautiful world for future generations.
