Year 1

Year 1 enjoyed a bit of choice time before writing sentences about what they did. Some of the wonderful sentences included, “I like painting,” “I can build a tall tower,” and “I can read a story.”

Year 1 have been enjoying the story Boris and Sid Make a Mess! In the book, Boris and Sid bake a cake — and create a huge mess with flour, eggs, and jam! Inspired by their messy adventure, we had some messy fun of our own. Afterwards, the children wrote fantastic sentences to describe what they did.
