Year 4 Retreat Day
Year 4 enjoyed a lovely afternoon at our Parish Church where we planned our own liturgy in groups. We made our focus Pentecost and worked with each other to make our Liturgy as thoughtful and insightful as we could! We were also lucky enough to have parishioners from the parish lead us in a wonderful hymn practice! We learnt three new songs with actions to go with them! Father Andrew introduced the children to how we expose the Blessed Sacrament and then led them in a Guided Adoration including use of hymns in praise and worship, finishing with the Divine Praises.
Sing Hosanna was one of the hymns chosen for us to sing at our Guided Adoration!
The children really enjoyed learning actions to new songs with the parishioners!
What an amazing time we had learning and performing our two new songs!
Class Collective Worship
Following on from our wonderful Retreat Day, Year 4 delivered a beautiful Class Worship that they had planned during their time at St. Mary's Parish Church.
Each group took it in turns to deliver the different elements required and it was the perfect way to end as Pentecost draws to a close.
