🎁 As we prepare for Advent (a time for waiting), in Re this week we explored the question 'what are gifts and how do they make us feel when we give and recieve them?' 🎁 At the start of the lesson, the children were given a shiny gift box which they were very eager to unwrap. As tempting as it was to open the big shiny box, the children were told they could only feel the present and they had to wait for it to be opened at the end of the RE lesson. We discussed as a class how waiting for gifts makes us feel and what our favourite gifts are which we have received 🎁
This morning, we gathered together in the hall for the blessing of the Advent Wreaths. Back in class, we have been learning about how we prepare for Jesus's coming and what advent is. The children made their own advent wreaths which look amazing!
